Up until a year ago, I thought I wasn't going to miss a lot from Italy when we would move back. Except of course, the weather (Belgium is a very nice country to live in, but the weather...)
But then came this year. This year was definitely the nicest.
Last Thursday was a very emotional day. The movers came in that morning, and it was Luka's graduation. We had to say goodbye to a lot of nice people (Right now, we are thinking to come back in April for Jan to run the half marathon. That gives a bit of peace of mind!).
And now it's also time to say goodbye to our house in Impruneta. The movers are packing the last things and are loading the truck. We are keeping the kittens out of their way. If we don't watch them, they disappear in the truck together with our other stuff...
In a few weeks, we'll go to the USA for five weeks. I'm not going to remember everything unless I write it down. And because some people asked me to send updates from time to time, I thought I could as well write everything down on our blog in stead of in a notebook.
So this is the reason I'm writing in English right now. I definitely feel it's not my mother tongue. But I'll manage. And if needed, I'll use some Dutch.
groetjes ;-)
Inge
